I have been slowly working my way through the Network+ (N10-006) Videos and today realized that they are archived and newer versions are out there. I see that the new versions do not have notes or diagrams, like the old one did. Do you recommend sticking with the original show, or has enough material been updated for the exam that it is worth jumping over to the new videos, and maybe using my show notes from the previous iteration?

Hey Thomas,
I have submitted the notes and they should be on the site next week. So you will have access to them very soon.

Both series cover the current iteration of the exam. So the exam objectives were pretty much the same.
The older version, that Daniel Lowrie and I did, is well..."feeling" dated. It had our older format before we changed over midway through the series to the newer format. It's also much longer, this is because I run my mouth a bit more than 10 people, hence the 70+hrs).
The newer show that Wes "Mr. CompTIA" Bryan updated the format covered the same material but in a more streamlined content. So it feels more like our current format. This allows for newer members to have a consistent experience.
So it's not because new objectives were released....yet (when we do we'll probably reshoot the whole thing again). So you've got your choice: Old Guy or "Mr. CompTIA." You've got to stick with....: Mr. CompTIA!
if you're feeling nostalgic, give the Old Guy a view every once in a while, if you can put up with the southern accent!
Cordially,
Ronnie Wong
