Hello, I have a question regarding a vmware vsphere 6.x 3 host cluster which utilizes Nutanix for compute and storage.
How does Guest Virtual Machine communicate from one server to another server?
I'm trying to figure out how best to answer your question:
Are you asking how does a VM on a clustered-host communicate with another VM on a clustered host? That is through the networking configurations you set up when you put them on the same virtual switch. In the most generic terms, the clustering abstracts the underlying hardware so the VMs don't really care which host they are running on. This is great because if a single host fails, the VMs are ("moved", "migrated", "re-homed")
Are you asking how to setup a cluster and make sure that VMs can communicate? You'll probably need to check out some of the configuration guides to make sure you get your detailed steps correct as you set up your cluster.
Is there something specific you're looking to do, please give a description on what you're trying to accomplish, this may help others here on the forum provide some more help to you.
