I'd really like a comprehensive firewall for my desktop. I have tried a couple:
Symantec - doesn't really do anything (silent)
ESET - $50 a year and don't need the AV. (good prompts to white/black list IP connections).
Comodo - freeware, but is the kind I am looking for (prompted when a connection is attempted.)
If anyone knows a good comprehensive host firewall I'd love to hear it.
I did google 'best firewalls 2017' but nothing really great comes up except ESET (yearly sub) and Comodo (freeware with ads for other programs).
