Hello guys . I would have the necessity to upgrade an ubuntu laptop without connecting to the network. it's not the first time the i have this problem so i was thinking to create a local repo when necessary in order to update laptop or desktop offline?
Do you have any guide or link where it show step by step from where and how to copy the rights repos? and how to setup a local repo file.

I think with RedHat systems you just need to...
(From an internet connected computer)
yum -y update --downloadonly --skip-broken
That will grab all the patches and put them in /var/cache/yum/x86_64/distroname/reponame
Copy those to your usb drive
then
mount the usb drive to the laptop you want to update and issue...
yum -y localinstall *.rpm --skip-broken
I'm not the biggest RedHat guy, so I might be off on that, but try those suggestions and see if that works for you.
