Yes, I am old. I have my A+ (2000) and Net+ (2004) - Windows 95-2000 are long gone and so is networking Novell. Ahhh I miss Novell.
I am wondering if there are any replacements, vendor specific or not for:
CompTIA Convergence+ or CompTIA CTP+
CompTIA PDI+ (although I believe this is in the new A+ certification, can you confirm?)
I am really trying to increase my skill set to include Telephony and VoIP technology, as well as cloud.
This brings me CompTIA Cloud+, is that a planned offering in 2015? Maybe CompTIA CDIA+ as well.
Thanks,
Chris

Retired Certification Replacements?
-
Chris,
Retirement Notices for the 2 certs that you mentioned are posted by comptia.org from the links below
http://certification.comptia.org/news/2013/09/25/comptia-pdi-exam-to-retire
The recommendation is to seek the newer A+ certification instead as posted in the link.

The CTP+ has been succeeded by the cloud essentials comptia offering.

We're taking the suggestions that you make and putting it toward the list. The true nature of what gets onto the shows is demand! So you're the first, now is to see what others are seeking as well. thanks for your input!

Thank you Ronnie for your response.
I figured the Convergence was phased out, I will review the objectives of the remainder of listed items.
Supply vs Demand, understand that concept too well.
Cheers,
