Hi guys - I passed the Cloud + exam on Tuesday. I would like to thank the ITPro staff for their Cloud + course. The course is very helpful when studying for the Exam
I realize the Cloud + Exam is a pretty basic certification but I wanted to get a cloud certification on my resume. The exam was a pretty standard CompTIA exam. You need to know the information and concepts inside and out. They will try and trick you with vague and interestingly worded questions. Memorization of practice question is not enough to pass this exam. I really liked Cloud + because it has given me a basic foundation to at least talk intelligently about cloud computing. I have been through interviews and have been asked basic questions about moving to the cloud or what would be most important about securing systems in the cloud. If I had this certification at that time I could have answered those question in a more detailed and accurate way.
Below is what I used to study for the exam:
- ITPRO.TV Cloud + class
- CompTIA Cloud + Certification study guide (Nate Stammer and Scott Wildon) Practice questions in the book and on an included CD
- Practice test found on Udemy
- Cybrary IT Cloud + videos (These are not even close to as good as the ITPro.TV videos)
I realize CV0-002 will be out soon so this information might not be that relevant but I figured I would share
