Hey guys, so recently i've been experiencing some weird issues with my laptop: whenever I connect to the network, it boots my other devices off of the network and then the laptop fails to connect to the internet. I ran scans, offline scans, rebuilt the OS, updated drivers, and the issue is still occurring. I have begun to start viewing logs and services that are running to determine whether or not it is a virus and where the virus is located but am not finding much yet. If anyone has had this happen before or has any advice that would be great!!
Please provide a little more details...
What is the OS you're running?
What is the laptop, RAM?
Is this a wireless connection or wired?
What kind of other devices are you talking about?
Do other devices connect to your network without issues?
Sorry for the lack of details here are the specs:
Windows 10 home
laptop with 8GB of ram
It is wireless connected
other devices include my cell phone, my Roku on my TV, and my desktop
Other devices connect flawlessly when my laptop is not turned on or connected to internet.
This issue is very new, my laptop never used to do this, I was looking for some anomalies in the services running on my laptop and couldnt find anything out of the ordinary, and was looking around a little bit deeper but couldnt find anything wrong so im not sure if it is virus related or not.
Windows 10....while it's updating "may" or "can" act squirrely... You may just have to let it do it's thing...i.e. leave it alone for sometime (hours) before it settles out and then reboot it for it act normal again.
No problem with the lack of details...just needed to know to help isolate between hardware and software based issues.
