Has the Cloud+ course been updated for the new exam?

Solved New CompTIA Cloud+ exam

@brian-mooney We have not updated our current content. We want to bring the most valuable Cloud technology training to our members so we plan to focus on expanding our Azure, AWS and GCP content. Adam has knocked it out of the park with Azure and we have the others on the roadmap for this year,

So would Cloud + not be a good cert to get and instead do Azure or AWS?
-
Brian,
I hope all is well. Cloud+ is a good vendor neutral exam that gives you the ability to learn about and apply BASIC cloud concepts. It forms part of the foundational knowledge and certifications matrix that an IT professional looking to work in cloud technologies may want to have and be able to demonstrate to an employer. In addition, certifications such as Network+ and Security+ would fall into this category as well.
The issue that you face with pursuing certifications in an area like cloud is that you must pick a vendor platform and then certify in their cloud stack in order to validate your skills. Google (GCP), Amazon (AWS), and Microsoft Azure are all great bets, and are all sought after skills by employers today.
An employer will be more focused on the vendor specific certifications and knowledge that you bring to the table in cloud rather then the entry and foundational certifications, as they will assume that you have that knowledge if you are able to certify on a vendor cloud platform.
Pick your platform and jump in !! It will be challenging, but well worth the time and effort you invest.

Good Luck !!
