Unsolved FortiClient

Hi All,

I was wondering if someone can help.

I am having an issue where, when I connect to a client VPN via fortinet SSL VPN I lose connection to our telephony app but it restores it after a few seconds. I was wondering if we can add an exception so it does not loose it's connection. I can still access our local network whilst connected to the VPN.

Are you getting error messages from the client side of the connection? check the logs for the times around the drops and see if it mentions any specific when the re-connection happens.

Are you running the latest version? Updated version may have fixed it...

but the logs are the place to start.

Hi, I have checked the logs and nothing specific to why it has lost connection. I have also updated the FortiClient to the latest version but still same issue.

can you put a sample of the log files into a .txt file for me and email it to me ronnie@itpro.tv. I'm looking for the logs that begins with the initial VPN connection to the 2nd VPN connection. I'm trying to see when it drops and when it reconnects on those logs.

If there is nothing showing up there and this is consistent across multiple devices doing the same type of connection. There must be another cause point along with that software.
