Confused, please help

Hi I am Pravin from India Pune.

I was working in BPO sector (Back-Office/Non-voice) for around 8 years.
My age is 38 now and I am married.
I want to become a Cyber Security Expert. Currently I am working as NOC Engineer 6 months before. My Job profile includes..

1. Monitoring the Network health of the organization.
2. Resolving users issues related to VMs, like giving them permissions, adding them in a group, VM cloning, Accesss to VMs, etc..like L1-L2 level of tickets of VMs
3. Resolving Network issues, like BGP issues, P-P issues, Site down, etc....

Problem: I don't know anything about the IT.

Question:
What should I learn step by step so I can be able to resolve L1-L2 related VMs issues and Networking issues.....so that I can secure my job at hand and then I want to go for Cyber Security.

I saw the career paths but this includes A+, and other stuffs which I doubt should I start from since I wont be able to work on A+ level...

Can you give me the coursers I should start 1 by 1 to secure my NOC Engineer Job and then go for CyberSecurity Career.

If you don't know anything about IT security, the recommendation that I would say is you must start with CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ for the foundational knowledge and skills needed for the working in IT Security. Consider this your learning track.

From that point there are other more focused area of security that we offer....but your question seem to be more specific technology focus.

You should consider learning a virtualization platform like VMWare and/or Hyper-V. You should consider some Cloud related technologies like AWS and/or Azure and of course you should consider security focus something similar to the CCNA CyberOps. All of these areas are within our course library.

This will depend on your experience and knowledge of these areas. If I were starting out without foundational knowledge...

I would begin with CompTIA Network+, Security+ for knowledge base; then, the MTA -Server Fundamentals, and the Windows Server 2012 or 2016 Series. Also then the Virtualization Technologies and CompTIA Linux+ (the first course)

On a side note the Accelerated series is the same as the regular series but more focused on exam prep than it is knowledge building and preparation. So choose one or the other...but not necessary to do both.

Those would be the core skills, you must have.

The other's you've listed are specializations or more advanced knowledge you may choose or not.

For networking specialization, then Cisco CCENT and CCNA.

AND/OR

For virtualization specialization, the VMWare

AND

For cybersecurity specialization, the CompTIA CySA+, CompTIA PenTest+ or CCNA CyberOps, CCNA Security

The list is a tremendous amount of material. My suggestion focus on one at a time and see where your interest lie after the foundational knowledge base of courses. You may find your desire and affinity lie a particular direction for the remainder.
