Hi all,
So last night i was watching some of the Apple Mac videos on here and i thought i'd give setting up Open Directory on two Yosemite clients (one with the Server add on) and another with Yosemite 10.10 as a client.
I've correctly set up the Profile Manager, the groups, the bindings and the certificates as required, but however I am not a bit on a stumping ground with regards to my test open directory account.
I have a test account in which I am using as a dummy login for this training session I am doing, and its set as local network directory , when i try to log in on the client side it - the login just returns me to the prompt with no error or message. I thought I had the password wrong but thats correct, but however I am thinking this could be a DNS issue. I know I can log in with the open directory admin account on the client machine but not my dummy account.
If it is a DNS issue do i need to reset the DNS on the server side? It is automatically set up to send out IP addressess to any client machines connected in the open directory environment.
Any help or pointers in the right directory would be most appreciative
Kindest Regards
dan
