Hey Elliott,
These are great questions, let me see if I can help:
The notes that the edutainers use are for the shows, to keep us on track. They contain information that we feel we need to jot down because we might forget to include certain topics. While the notes can contain valuable study information, they are not exhaustive. Each edutainer will have different quantities of show notes. When we finish the course, show notes will be posted. My goal is to wrap up that series next week.
The new A+ core series has been jam packed with information. As we record a series, then it updates, this is a great chance to make the series even better. We have filled it up with tons of great content, with the intent of always striving to be better. This is why you will see more hours in this one. With the overlap of the concepts we get to tie concepts from both exams together, explaining how holistically these topics come together. This is something new to our series, so it adds a little more to the show, but with good intentions. For example in the past the exam candidate needed just a small amount of Linux and Mac understanding. Well gone are the days of a Windows-only environment so where in the past we might have talked about a half an hour on these topics, we will have added 5-7 hours of training on these topics (that was not required in the 800 or 900 series. You will see in just those topics alone will bring the hour count up. I hope this helps and if you have additional question please let us know. Thank you for watching.
Best Regards,
Wes Bryan
