My apologies for not seeing this post and it may be way too late for an answer.
For you to configure layer 3 switches... it is really no different.
The routing configs should work on a layer 3 switch like they do on router.
The differences come when you're trying to configure individual ports as routed ports.
You cannot configure IP addresses directly on switchport so you must also issue theno switchportcommand on that switchport to make it into a routed port.Also when configuring default gateways for VLANs. You must configure SVIs--Switched Virtual Interfaces.
