Hello All,
I would like to know if there is any Simulations Practice exams, not multiple questions that I can practice for the Network+ exam?
Hey @M-K that is a great question. This is one of the greatest challenges that Net+ exam candidates face. The sims, a lot of times will focus on a network diagram and require drag and drops, requiring the candidate to construct a network with the available options. Another challenge is the diagrams that require an understanding of subnetting/CIDR/VLSM.
Now, when it comes to the practice exams, the vendors control how much of their question bank returns simulations for the exam. So to help with this, I recommend going "old school," with pen and paper, creating a series of networks from a base IP address range. Then adjusting the bits for multiple networks and checking your work. If you can do this 10-15 times back-to-back then you will start to get faster. This is how I tackled some of the questions on my first exam. You can also do this with the standards, for instance draw a network diagram and randomly assign bandwidth, distance and compatibility requirements to each link. Then using only standards (802.3af, 802.11ac, 10GBaseLR, Ethernet, SONET....etc) assign the technology to the diagrams. This will help you associate those standards and network design to the simulations you will get on the exam.
You can also launch the Practice-Labs for Network+ and practice the networking commands to get hands-on with some of the utilities that will be tested on.
I hope this helps and please keep this questions coming, so we can get you prepared for your exam.

Wes Bryan

@wes-bryan Thanks Wes for getting back and for your great advice.
