Yesterday I passed my ICND2 with a 902. It took me 13 months to take the second exam due to life and overtime at work. It happens but keep moving forward. I finally found a window to study for about 6 weeks so I read the Cisco press & Todd Lammle's guides, the Cisco CCNA Portable Command Guide and watched the Accelerated CCNA video course with Todd and Ronnie. I just didn't have time to watch the full course. I am SO grateful that ITPro.TV is such a high quality yet affordable solution to keeping up on all the technologies in my career. There is no better way to stay current in this field. The fact that it is affordable = success.
Passed CCNA - Thank you ITPro.TV
Congrats! Did you get any NAT, frame-relay, or vrrp questions ?? I think* they dropped all of this from ICND2, but it'd be cool to hear from someone that recently sat for the exam.
Any eBGP simulations?
I wish I could answer but it might violate the NDA. I will say I was better prepared than I thought I was with the study materials I listed above. I also had a home lab of 3 2811 routers, 2 2960 and 1 3560 switches but it wasn't necessary. I like learning with real gear but realistically, I used Packet Tracer almost as much since I could practice at work on breaks, during lunch, and not wake the family with the howl of the router fans in the off hours.
Congrats on your CCNA, I am in the same path as you and wanted to know in terms of preparing for the CCNA EXAM (ICND 1 and ICND 2 Exams) I have taken some Cisco courses at (Community College) as well as taking online courses TestOUT and IT Pro TV and wanted to know in your opinion how long (months or weeks) to prepare for the (old) CCNA exam (not the new CCNA 300-125?)
