Please provide more details such as what kind of company you are now employed. The title seems a little too generic to provide much of a helpful feedback.
Also provide some of your background...do you already do networking, security, programming? Are you expected too? All of these may give us more information to base any recommendations we may make.
Thanks for being a member.

Hello Ronnie,
Thanks for the feedback. The company is a software engineering based but also do more of security solutions. I may have to describe myself as an walking encyclopedia since I would have to know a bit about every aspect of IT.. I have a little knowledge about networking which i learnt from this platform.Unfortunately, my account doesn't have access to the practice lab so am not able to try out on my own.

This puts you in one of two places and it all depends your perspective of challenges:
-
You might find this to be challenging, given that you were hired with the skills you currently have may indicate that they are willing to work with you.
Patience here is the key, Learn what you can on a project by project basis and accomplish not a complete mastery of any one subject but a goal oriented approach to many subjects. That is learn what you need to do. Then learn how you can accomplish that. Our courses have the breadth for you to do so. -
You may find it an encouraging opportunity to "learn on the job." This is fine if so, I would find out from your supervisor the most important skill you must know in the next 90 days and pursue that with intent. This may open up your mind to challenges and to find the affinity you have to a field of study.
Take the time to discover which of the two categories you are in. Then dive in!
