Doesn't the "pf" in pfSense (and the pf command in FreeBSD) stand for "packet filter" and not "packet forwarding"? The Intro video for the pfSense course is misleading on that small, but important, point.

It's not that what I said isn't wrong, but as you can see, even near the beginning it seems as if by the inventors themselves it was more of a concession. When I first heard of pfSense from a friend back in 2009, he said it was for the other one mentioned in the blog: "Plain F...... Sense."
The show itself is now dated and in our legacy category. it is in the line up of shows to be re-recorded and we will make a correction my error then.
