I started watching your videos. I went to GNS3. It is designed for VMWare 6.5. My current server has 6 U3 on it. Will I have any issues with it? Cisco VIRL 2.x needs VMWare 6.5 or later to run. I was going to look for a refurbished HP Server next year for VMWare 6.7 or 7.

GNS3 normally doesn't require much to run... But I'm not sure if there is anything missing in the VMWare 6 U3 that GNS3 would require but that is because I've not tried it on that version.
My experience says it should be fine. It's easy enough to import. The key is to make sure that your server can support all the hardware assisted virtualization stuff. But if you begin the process, it may ask for you to upgrade the VM, this is for optimization After the VM is installed, if it won't start; then your version is not supported.
I would be surprised if it didn't but I cannot confirm it.
