Hi,
I noticed that you did not talk about Mobility Express. Can you provide some detail on how this works and how it differs from the other wireless deployments?
Thank you

Sure thing! While this should no be showing up in the ENCOR exam, still really important to understand.
The Mobility Express solution is a nice way to bring Enterprise-level features to a smaller environment for less of an investment.
This solution relies on the virtual Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) functionality built in to the 1830 and 1850 series of Access Points (APs).
In this solution, on AP runs the Cisco Mobility Express wireless controller. We designate this system as the Master AP. The other APs are considered subordinate APs and they associate themselves to the Master AP.
The Master AP will serve clients as normal, but note that it is also managing the other APs as it is playing the role of the WLC.
Very clever!

Thank you for the reply. Does this technology work off of CAPWAP?
I would assume yes they would still use CAPWAP tunnels because remember. Lightweight APS go through a certain join process. Ex. Search for WLC, Establish CAPWAP tunnel,. Join and download config firmware etc.
Yes, the protocols used would still work on CAPWAP.
