Is there a benefit or best practice for teaming nics used for management? Is there a security risk if nics are teamed and added to the management VLAN?

Nic Teaming in Windows or VM

The benefits of NIC teaming in Windows, may not really be in "speed" (i.e. 2 1 Gbps doesn't necessarily mean you'll be 2x faster than a single 1 Gbps). Most often the benefit of these is from the load balancing and failover. The benefit in teaming the NICs would be if you're already saturating the single NIC (sending more than 1Gbps over that connection, then a 2nd one teamed would provide additional bandwidth).
With a VM, you would want to team the physical nics and then logically group them together for the VM so that the VM can take advantage of it. There would be no advantage to creating a NIC teaming with 2 virtual nics and 1 physical nic.
