CPU for Linux server

Hello folks

I'm hesitating about the idea of choosing the right cpu between intel or AMD for my home server.

Actually I'm planning to deploy a server with Centos and using kvm+quemu for running different virtual machines with other operating systems, so for you guys, which option would you be better for this project ryzen or Intel? My Main goal is virtualization with servers that doesn’t require a lot of graphics.

Frankly either is fine, but if you plan on doing a lot of "compute" work, e.g. computer aided engineering, or wind tunnel simulations, use Intel.

Otherwise it doesn't matter that much

You will find less issues with Intel on implementing software.
