Hello, Is the transfer rate of eSATA 30 megabytes or megabits? The chart says megabytes but Wes says megabits. I think it is megabytes but want to be sure.

Great question @Geo, I must of slipped up on my verbiage there as eSATA follows the same standards at traditional SATA standards
SATA I - 150 MB (megabytes)
SATA II - 300 MB
SATA III - 600 MBThere is a difference in the connector and cable type. The eSATA cable is shielded and the connector is not the same to prevent internal unshielded SATA cables being connected to an eSATA device.
