Hello all, I am writing a paper on the above topic to analyze the various sectors that IT personnel work in. My forte is in healthcare and have plenty of material to work with. However, when it comes to other occupational sectors, I have not found anything substantial to work with. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or references regarding the sector they work in. The objective is to provide guidance to IT personnel with making well educated career decisions. Thank you in advance!

Occupational Risks and Hazards in the IT Sectors

@FLM ,
I don't have much for you in this area. The most hazardous thing I deal with is the bright lights in my eyes in the studios, lol.

I think you should break out a pair of sunglasses, protection yes but it would also bump-up your already high cool factor!
Possibly some additional details might be of help on my question, for example:
IT personnel working in the aviation sector may face potential risks of scheduling systems or disruption of air fight controller systems, access to PII etc...
While working in say pharmaceutical manufacturing may result in medication errors or supply chain failures.
The financial industry would also have multiple pitfalls that an IT technician may encounter.
Just a few very general examples. I am looking for standards or regulations that may apply uniquely to these and other sectors that IT personnel work in that they need to become well versed in ad well as specific hazards (physical and health) that would also be unique to their environments.
I hope that provides a little better direction concerning my objectives. Thank you all in advance for any suggestions you can share!
