There seems to be a problem when running the script. The line stating Gathering details for device with serial number: 0
should show a serial number for the device you are running the script on, not 0
The zero indicates the script is not getting details for any machine, which is why your csv file is empty.
Are you running the script as administrator?

Hi Mike
I will go back and try on the virtual machine but am sure it was with admin rights. Tried this on a physical box. At the reset stage getting this. Any ideas ?
This is just that Windows has updated to a newer version than what you used in the show. I am assuming it is local ?
Thanks,
Yep, that is the new "Reset this PC" dialog.
Local reinstall uses your local installed copy of Windows 10 and reuses existing Windows files to construct a fresh copy. You could also download Windows and create a bootable USB drive.
The new Windows cloud download feature allows you to reinstall Windows 10 using fresh Windows installation files from the cloud. There is no need for a recovery partition or create a USB drive.

For the course shall I just go with Local ?
Thanks,
I would recommend experimenting with both if you can. The cloud option is going to be the preferred way in most environments, and has several advantages:
Either option should work for the lab.
Let me know,

Hi Mike
Please see enclosed. I checked it out and it still happens but have tried it with a physical machine and that works
This is using virtual box.
Thanks,
Have also tried the local reinstall earlier and it all works ok
Do you think autopilot and in-tune is fully there to support a 100% hands free install or is it a work in progress still ?
Thanks,
Ah. I believe this is an issue with Virtual Box. Because Virtual Box is a type 2 hypervisor, it doesn't have direct access to the physical machine hardware.
I have run through the demo on both a physical machine and a Hyper-V VM, using both version 2.3 and 3.5 of the Get-WindowsAutoPilotInfo script, and was successful on all attempts.
While Windows AutoPilot and Intune are always being updated, they are definitely a fully developed solution. Using them can provide a 100% hands free deployment!
