Hello Mr. Pezet,

I enjoyed your lesson on the Firewalld application in the show 'Linux Security Techniques".

1. I would like to find more episodes on this but the search funtions and other manual searches does not show up anything substantial. Can you please direct me to all of the video material in the ITProTV portfolio?

2. Do you recommend a specific Linux distro to experiment with in the Practice Labs VM environment? I have played with Centos and Ubuntu while watching your video. I'm not sure if it is related to the distro or it is a limitation of the PLabs VMs, because there are noticable differences in how they respond to user commands.

1. The "Linux Security Techniques" course is the only one dedicated to Linux security, so you are in the right spot. You can find more security episodes sprinkled in with the rest of the Linux training. Check out the following shows:
   CompTIA Linux+ (XK0-004)
   Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
   LPIC-1 Linux Administrator (102-500)
2. I actually recommend you use both of those distros. Right now, there are two major players in the Linux space: Debian and Red Hat. They both provide you access to the Linux kernel, but they package different tools with it resulting in a different way of doing things. For example, Debian, Ubuntu, and Mint all use AppArmor for application security, whereas RHEL, CentOS, and Fedora use SELinux instead. If you already have a job supporting a particular Linux distro then you can stick with that, but if you are just getting in to Linux you will benefit from learning both ways of doing things.
