Good question @Lesley-Leaf , with a system-on-a chip, this bundles all of the computing components onto a single PCB or printed circuit board such as memory, CPU, USB controller, video I/O. What SoCs will not have typically is storage or any human interaction devices such as a display/monitors and mice.
