Good morning all.
I have a great question for you guys.
I am running a Cisco router 1921 at the house and I would like to set up a remote connection trough the router to my system and to my Cisco items I have connected to the network. I have seen examples from 2009 but, for the life of me, I cannot get the connection to work. I want to be able to access my systems via the router and not through my net gear router. This will also give me more experience on the routers.

No-IP connection and configuration

You would have to directly connect your Cisco router to the ISP's modem. Get the IP address from the ISP using DHCP.
Setup another interface on your router to become the default gateway of your internal LAN.
Then you would have to manually setup NAT on the router.
From that point, you may also have to manual NAT through the router to essentially setup port-forwarding to the devices you want to remotely access.
To make it easier you may want to configure Dynamic DNS to make it easier for you.
Cordially,
