Im trying to add another hyper-v host (for a total of 3) to an existing Dell hyper converge chassis. Can more then one hyper-v host share physical NICs for virtual switch traffic? This chassis has four NICs currently with one host using two of the NICs and the other host is using the other two. Could I third host using any of these with causing issues besides an uptick in traffic?
@Dan-Wages , I hope all is well. Physical NICs are bound to a single host at a time, so you would have to unbind/unassign one or more of the NICs currently used by your other hosts to allow for a third host to access one or more NICs and use them.
Once a Physical NIC or series of NICs are assigned/bound to a host, you can consider NIC teaming if you want to have better bandwidth management and policy based control over utilization and traffic flow/security.

Since I do have both hosts configured with teamed NICs. I should be able to remove a NICs from one of the teams to free up and use to add a third hosts, correct?
