Identify some use cases when a differencing disc should be used and discuss why this is the best choice for storage.
When you need to save storage place and save time and make sure the original disk isn't going to be modified. e.g., a testing environment. You want to try a configuration that may result in the VM corrupting. using a differencing disk helps. If you don't like the changes or the changes were troubling.. Then you delete the differencing disk and you're left with your original .vhd or .vhdx
Identify some use cases when a differencing disc should not be used and discuss why this is the best choice for storage.
Not in production environments. Differencing disk still need to reference the original parent disk. This mean I/O usage is high. So recommended practice is to have the Parent disk on a different physical drive than the differencing disks.
Identify some use cases when physical storage should be used and discuss why this would be the best choice for storage.
Discuss why VM disk storage is separated from the Hyper-V host operating system storage.
