Hi Team,
I hope someone is able to shed some light on cryptology for me. I'm having a hard time understanding it when it comes down to Symmetric and Asymmetric Encryption and Key Distribution.
I understand that Diffie-Hellmann and RSA are Asymmetric algorithms but are they both used by Symmetric Key for key distribution?
Does Asymmetric key only uses PKI to distribute keys?
When using Key-Pair (Asymmetric Encryption), The Private Key will never be shared; the public key will be shared freely via a request. This means that the requestor will use that public key to encrypt data to be sent back the the private key holder only.
I mention this because I cannot think of another way to distribute the Asymmetric Key.
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thank you,
Frank
