From the IC3 Computing Fundamentals
Legacy - Mobile Devices course: the instructor, Wes Bryant, says we can attach pictures via SMS @22:41 - 23:11. Technically, multimedia files, especially pictures, are via MMS. However, he did say it has been advanced since.
SMS (Short Messaging Service) is traditionally plain (text) messages as the instructor described in the video which was originally designed as such only.
MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) - not introduced in the video - is initially for, again, multimedia attachments, such as a picture, video, audio or GIF, etc. Thus, they seem similar yet different. Does the instructor's explanation still holds true? Please explain.
"Legacy" stuff I know, but still fundamentally relevant.
