Best training and certification for someone with little Linux knowledge

Greetings,

I am a Systems Administrator working with Microsoft Server and Windows operating systems.

I am considering transitioning my career toward Cloud Computing in either a Sys Admin role or in DevOps.

As a starting point, I have obtained my MS Azure Fundamentals and AWS Cloud Practitioner certifications. However, I have almost no experience with Linux. As I understand, 90% of virtual systems in Cloud environments run in Linux and you must have a good working knowledge of the operating system to be successful in Cloud Operations.

Would the Linux+ be a good course and certification for a beginner to learn the operating system and get a certification? Of is there another cert which would be more affective?

@Derek-Sompong Linux+ is ideal for that - if you're a total beginner you could also take a look at linux for beginners (https://app.itpro.tv/course/linuxbeginners/overview-linux-beginners) or Linux essentials (https://app.itpro.tv/course/linux-essentials/web-browsers-lpi).

Linux for beginners is just a very quick intro and easy to listen to on the go. Linux essentials aligns with the Linux essentials certification from the Linux professional institute which is a fairly easy (but good for life) entry certification.

Linux+ is probably the most recognised certification at the entry level, and if you have other CompTIA certifications this is a good route to go as the format etc. will be familiar. Passing Linux + also fully renews your A+ if you have one

How long ago was the A+ and the Net+? If that A+ is expired unfortunately taking Linux+ won't renew it - once they're expired they need to be re-earned. If it's still current though it renews it for anther 3 years
