Unsolved Azure AD password Expiration Notification via Email

Please is there a way to notify users in my tenant via email about the expiration of their passwords? If yes, how can this be achieved? Thanks

Wow - I went down a rabbit hole researching this one. It seems this is a major ongoing complaint - there is no built-in functionality for this with Azure AD yet.

What I discovered is that the admins that REALLY must have this functionality are employing it using PowerShell scripts or ADSelfService Plus.

Note these tools were targeted at the traditional Windows AD and admins are porting them over for use in Azure AD.
