Provisioning Windows packages

First thing, I want to say thank you all for y'alls hardwork in bringing us content to help us to grow in the knowledge of the IT arena.

I recently passed and acquired a certification from CompTia, passing both of the A+ exams the first time.

Now to my question. Will installing a provisioning package on a client that has already been set up erase every thing on the computer and then provision it? Is there a way that the package can add things to the Windows10/11 client and not subtract any applications or its data?

@Douglas-Atwood Douglas-Atwood great question, settings get overwritten only if those settings are defined. If a provisioning package is not configured, those settings will not be modified. If there is a setting conflict, then there is a precedence order (almost like GPO processing in Active Directory), to resolve conflicts:
1 - Microsoft
2- Silicon Vendor
3- OEM
4 - System Integrator
5 - Mobile Operator
6- IT Admin

If a provisioning package is not configured, those settings will not be modified.
