In the episode you say to use ciper /r to backup the EFS certificate. After looking on technet, should this be:
ciper/x (Backs up the EFS certificate and keys to the specified file name.)

cipher /rgenerates the recovery key agent and certificate andcipher /xbacks up the EFS certificate!==============

I was watching the recording, in the context that Don was talking about, he took Cipher and generated a new certificate with public and private key and told it where to export it.I believe you're right that if you were just backing a key, the
cipher /xis the way to go; but here Don did the generation and back up withcipher/r:c:\efs-backupa single command. Showing how to automate the tasks at hand.Cordially,
