I've just finished watching one of the Microsoft (70-697) courses and done a few practise exams. Unfortunately I'm only getting around 30% on the tests. What I've found is that the videos have hardly covered the required topics...
I understand that I shouldn't put all my eggs in one basket for study, this was just to get me warmed up and touch on all the subjects. However, I still would have thought that the videos would cover at least 60% of the exam material. I'm really shocked that from doing the measureup tests, the videos either completely missed out things, or didn't go into enough detail. Where are all the powershell commands?
Got the official book on it's way, I was hoping this would cover the last 20-30% of the exam material so I can pass, but it looks like it's going to cover the majority of it.
Could it be because it's a new exam? I've heard one review of this exam as being way to broad - some standard windows setup questions, like networking, but combined with random server related questions that would sit well in the windows server exam.
By the way, the things that were taught, were taught very well.
Thoughts?
