Hello, if I want to use my internal domain of ad.domain.dom with ad sync for office 365 is this possibl?, The smtp namespace for my users would then be domain.com.

Office 365 AD Sync
-
Yes, you can... If you have an internal non-routable DNS name space and a regular routable DNS name space you can do this.
-
You want to do this before you implement your AD Synchronization if you're going to synchronize.
-
You must add your internal UPN suffix to AD Domains and Trusts.
-
Open AD Domains and Trusts
-
Right Click on
Active Directory Domains and Trusts
-
Choose
Properties
-
Choose
UPN Suffixes
and add your internal UPN name and clickAdd

Thanks for the quick reply, just one clarification, if my internal domain is already ad.domain.com I can skip the part where I add the UPN suffix and go straight to the synchronization, correct?
-
If the name domain that you've registered with Office365 is
ad.domain.com
then yes. I believe you can skip the name space. But if you've registered
domain.com
instead then you will need to putad.domain.com
as an UPN suffix in domains and trusts.I hope I haven't been too confusing.
