Which would you recommend going after first, A+ or MTA? Right now, my main goal is Network Admin but who knows that might change down the road... so, I thought I'd ask what would be a good certification to start with?
Thanks!

Unsolved A+ or MTA

This all starts with your experience and comfort level and goals.
The MTA is designed really for the person that may not have any background at all in Information Technology. This allows them to sample the areas of understanding they will encounter in the field and shows a serious commitment to learning more; doing more. This is a certification that shows familiarity with the IT concepts and gives the candidate an evaluation of whether or not they are willing to commit seriously to an IT career.
The CompTIA A+ Certification demonstrates your knowledge and even skills of a person who not only desires to know more about the technology but is working or desires to work in the IT field and further your career. This is the first Career level certification that shows that you have serious skills beyond knowledge of material and are ready to begin working in the field. It normally validates that you have a working knowledge and skillset of someone who has been working in the field for about 6 months (entry level technician). This is a broad approach to the basic technologies and concepts you'll face working as an IT Professional.
