I came up just a little short on my 10-006 last week (698/720, so close!) and one of the questions I know I got wrong was about emergency exit doors and whether they should be fail-safe, fail-open or fail-closed. I understand the concepts behind the mechanisms, but for an emergency exit, do you still want a fail-closed door for security purposes? Would even a fail closed door still have a manual mechanism allowing people to escape a secure room in case of an emergency, while still keeping the room secure once people have exited? (Like the doors you see at movie theaters, I guess?)
(I went blank during the test and chose fail safe, because, well, safety first. Duh.)
