I am trying to deploy WDS at my work. I have several models of computers in our environment. I have successfully got 2 models setup and working with WDS but I have 2 others that I get a message that drivers are missing. I have downloaded everything on the Manufacture website for those models that has driver in the descriptions and I keep getting the message that drivers are still missing. Is there a way to figure out what driver they are missing?

Unsolved Windows Deployment service

Log in to the Machines that are missing the drivers and check setupapi.dev.log found at C:\windows\inf. If errors exists, you may have to do search on the error to see if it reveals anything.
You can try and check the Event Viewer and see the setup logs and see the system logs see if anything shows up

The problem is I can not get a working OS installed using WDS on those two models.. It is during the deployment of the image that I get the messages. I get them messages about the driver missing and then the deployment stops.

If it's stopping at the deployment...here is my suggestion....
Install Windows on one of those models, create an image of it. See if will deploy. If not, I would take a look at additional 3rd party hardware that was installed on that model and those drivers first.
This would be my next step if you cannot get information from the logs.

I figured out my problem. The image I was using is corrupt at some level. I started over with a base install.wim from a windows 7 sp1 CD and I am able to get windows deployed now. Now I just have to do all the update and install the software again but it is working. Thanks for your input Ronnie. IT pro is a great resource. I really found the class on Group Policy helpful.
