Hi there.
In preparation for the MTA Windows Server Administration exam, I used Hyper-V to install Windows Server 2008 R2.
The install went smoothly, but for some reason, I'm not able to enable networking on Hyper-V.
Attached are the settings in my Hyper-V Manager.The only option under the network adapter is Not Connected.
Plz halp...!

Verify you have a virtual switch showing up in Hyper-V manager. If not create one.
In virtual machine, verify that the network adapter is not disabled.
If both of those are good, then you should be able to select the network type that you're wanting to connect to (Internal, external, bridged). And connect.
Try that and let us know back here. Plenty of good MS virtualization here on the forums to help!

I figured it out. It was a rookie mistake as usual. This is my first time working with any virtual technology.
I'm posting the correction in case anyone faces a similar issue in the future.
To clarify, I wasn't able to select a virtual switch for my machine. When I went into the VM settings for my server, the only option I had under Virtual Switch was "Not connected".
