Hi
Do you have any plans for an IPad application so annual subscribers can watch content offline?
I'm trying to find an easy way of getting a show from the site on to my ipad.

IPad App

Thank you Darryl for asking this question, it has come up a lot in the support questions, but here in the forum others can read the answer and chime in.
Yes we would like to have an iPad/iOS app, but when we reengineered our website we made it responsive so it works really well on all devices. Regarding using the Annual Subscriber download feature you can use itunes to import the videos into your library and then sync with your device.
I would still suspect that we have an ipad app sometime in the next 12 months or less. As we begin to have courses in OSX and iOS, using the Apple App Store would be a great way to try to attract fans of Apple to come to ITProTV to learn how to support Apple Products. For today's IT guy, with BYOD, we all need to be more well rounded with all OS's and devices so it will fit right in.
We have an app design in mind that would stream and allow downloads directly to the device and I think something like that would serve the need that you have without the hassle of having to sync the videos, but it is a solution that will work today for you and others.
Thanks for being a subscriber we appreciate you all and we hope to continue to provide more for each of you and serve your needs as we continue to grow.

Or...you can get plex or some other kind of media center solution and once downloaded stream content from home. You will need high speed upload @home.
OR if you use a hotspot, see if it has a MicroSD card, mine does and i shoved a 64gb micro sd card in there. -

The UI experience is still really clumsy. Exploring, tracking progress, pausing on one device and resuming on another - these are givens on other training sites' mobile apps. Some of them also offer optional push reminders if one hasn't visited in a while, or offer little rewards for establishing patterns of frequent use. These make the sites more sticky. With ITPro.tv, it would be easy to forget one had a subscription when things get busy. That's got to hurt retention when renewal time comes around.
I'd strongly suggest that you spend time with some of the competitors' apps if a native app still isn't a strong priority for you. These apps fundamentally change how one uses the other sites. Taking in a little here and there on a daily basis becomes natural and even fun. That's just not something that happens if a user has to reauthenticate, navigate through a few pages in a browser, then spend time skipping around in a video to find the last stopping point. -
What about ITprotv Forum app?
I bet you guys aren't rolling your own forum software so there has to be a Forum app that works with whatever library you guys are on.
Not asking for a new app or inclusion of the actual app in development, just searching for a forum aggregator app that will work with this forum.
