Chromecast from mobile device

Hi,
First of all, I absolutely love what you guys are doing here, and I am thrilled about all the new stuff being added all the time. You guys are obviously working very hard. You clearly possess tons of ambition and I truly believe that your business will get better and better.
Just wanted to say that first..
Okay, so we all know about the Chromecast and what it does. It makes life easy for those of us that don't use or like streaming boxes. Chromecasting your content is the missing link for me, to make this service as useful as possible (again, for me). We all know that there is the Chrome "Cast Extension" for the desktop browser. I've tried using it, but latency is a huge problem, and I have a decent little network. I've tried casting at different picture qualities to no avail. The latency persists.
As many of us also know, Google recently opened up their casting SDK to the public. There are many applications that can now stream video by simply copying/pasting a web link. But...your videos will not cast, presumably due to codecs and/or the embedded players you are using.
I understand the need to protect your content, among other concerns, but is there a way that Chromecasting from mobile could happen? I know that annual subscribers get to download - which is great - but I can't afford all the money up front, unfortunately. I also don't have/want/need a Roku device, so I can't go that route either.
I would *really* appreciate you working with me on this in any way, if it's at all possible.

Thank you for writing in. I am glad to hear you have been enjoying our shows. The Chromecast has been an item of discussion many times around our office. We purchased one right when they came out and have been using it internally for a while now. Unfortunately our experience with the device has not been a positive one. The device has proven to be fairly unreliable and extremely underpowered for handling our content. Companies like Netflix and Amazon are providing specialized streams for the Chromecast to ensure that video is displayed smoothly. For us, we just don't have the resources to dedicate to supporting a device like that until it has a proven user base.
So while we do not currently have plans to roll out Chromecast support for our site, it is not out of the realm of possibility. We are watching as the device improves and will re-evaluate adding support for it as time goes on.

I used to be a heavy chromecast user too, but ended up buying Roku just to watch the shows here.
You might want to know that roku will work almost EXACTLY like chromecast, meaning, you can use your phone as a remote for you tv.
In fact, with chromecast, no content is really streamed from your mobile device. While the youtube/netflix apps pretend you are streaming from your device, it is just a smart remote with a progress bar.
Also, the 'headphone jack' in the remote is a brilliant idea. You WILL use it all the time.

What I do to stream to my chromecast is I download the videos as MP4s and than I add them to my Plex library. This will also save where you left off in the videos so you don't have to remember and You can also organize it however you want.

I ran into issues streaming to a Chromecast from my phone, but those issues have (so far) completely disappeared once I started casting from Chrome browser on my laptop. To do this, just install the Google 'Cast' plugin for Chrome and cast the tab in which you've loaded ITPro.tv. Works great in CentOS 7.

Although I'm still considering getting a Roku 3...
