Keep in mind however that Packet tracer is not a simulator in the sense that it simulates real equipment. it is more accurately described as a syntax checker. Still for CCENT and CCNA this is all you need.

This is great opportunity, but you're going to find yourself needing a Cisco network academy provider to do so as well. Sadly, ITProTV is not one of those.

@Ronnie-Wong After submitting your information and confirming your email address, you'll be able to download the executable. Once launched, enter the email and password you created earlier. It doesn't seem to be limited and hopefully the program doesn't expire. Good job Cisco! Finally!!!
@Jae ,
Excellent News! Last time I checked just about 4 weeks ago, you entered the account you created and it asked you for the school or NetworkAcademy and wouldn't let you go beyond. So something must have changed between then and now. That's great news!

Ronnie,
Cisco made the change to open distribution of Packet-Tracer and announced it with the CCNA exam updates. I saw it on one of the Cisco webinars discussing the changes to the CCNA exams.
This is very handy and a neat toy to play with too.
