I am working in a hospital and we have many servers specifically:
HP Proliant DL380, DL380G5, DL380G6, DL580
IBM System x3650 M2
My job requires me to check the hard drive status by looking if the light is green or amber but I am partially colorblind and am having trouble differentiating between the two.
Is there a program or built in feature that sends error messages when the server does detect a failed hard drive or other types of disk errors?
-
Is there a way to have automatic hard drive error detection for Windows Server?

Mr. Patel,
On your HP Proliant servers, you might be able to use the HP Insight Event Notifier. In windows, you can find it here:
Start/Programs/HP Management Agents
You may also need to install the latest support pack from the HP support website for your server.
There are probably many third party utilites that could also help with this too.
Don may be able to help you out with some other specifics the best way to do this in your situation.
