Unsolved Vlan & pfsense question

My Question

Watched your videos on vlans - confused - trying to set up a DMZ for all my IOT devices. Using pfsense firewall. & a 24 port netgear switch. want to plug separate wifi AP into swich and vlan the wifi devices

i know i need to set up the vlan on the pfsense box and tag 1 port on the switch with the same vlan id as the pfsense box -say vlan 50 for the wifi devices....

but then do i have to ensure all wifi clients support tagging? I'm unsure how to assign tags for IOT wifi clients....
I am probably trying to do this wrong...

If, you have multiple ports on your pfSense box. create an interface called DMZ. put an IP address on it as the default gateway for all the devices in this DMZ.

All the ports on your netgear that you're putting that into that vlan will have to designated as ports in that vlan (so tag or untag--depending on your switch) to assign all the ports in the vlan. You'll also add 1 additional port in that vlan to connect to the pfsense box. Make sure all your IoT devices use that port as their default gateway. So to put it differently, you'll have to take the ports you want in that vlan and put them in that vlan along with another port that will connect that vlan on the switch to the pfSense firewall. Let me know if that doesn't make sense....I'm not as clear as I think I am at times!
