I'm using the Transcender flashcards for Network+ and one of the acronyms was VDSL. It said it meant variable digital subscriber line, but I though it meant Very High Bit Rate DSL. This makes me question how legitimate Transcender is. Supposedly the practice exams should give you and good baseline of your overall knowledge of the subject. I'm just wanting to know, from your experience, how much trust should I put into what Transcender has to offer. Thanks.

Unsolved Transcender Question?

Hey Lathan,
Great question! When it comes to the practice exams, remember that they are designed to make the exam candidate study more, search more and prep more. Sometimes you will see a question or two that most likely should have been retired, all practice test vendors are guilty of this as they are not extremely thorough when it comes to flushing out their question pool. If you approach the practice exams with the intent to supplement your training, including: hands-on labs, reading, videos, books, forums....etc, they can to help round off the training. I hope this helps, keep up the great job and effort!

I too am a bit concerned about the legitimacy of the Transcender practice exams. I posted a similar question regarding an incorrect answer on the A+ practice exam and since then I have found a couple of additional errors. I understand that everyone makes mistakes. However, when a mistake is found it would seem to me that there should be some means to correct it rather than it just being a given that all vendors have mistakes in their exams. I, for one, don't want to spend time and money learning incorrect information.
