In the 4th part of Installing Windows in the A+ series, I did not understand the reason why MRB was originally restricted to 4 partitions only. Could someone clarify this for me?

Solved Installing Windows on a PC: why is the MBR partition style restricted to 4 partitions?
-
@thomas-pondant,
This is a limitation of the original partition table. In the 1980s, hard drive and storage were not as ubiquitous as today. This is when the MBR was developed and it was to be stored on the 1st sector of a HDD.This partition table is stored in this first sector before any partition and exist before any partitions are created. So without wasting any more space than the 1st sector of a drive and only allowed for 4 entries.
