In CompTIA Network+ (N10-007) Course Switching Technologies, Wes mentions that a Switch has a Mac Table and Arp table.
It is my undersanding that a MAC table is a database with MAC address to a particular port on the switch and ARP table Refers to MAC address to a IP address. I thought IP addressing was on routers.
Is he referring to a Layered 3 type switch when he says a Switch has a ARP and MAC Table ?
