I know what this is not a question but just wanted to say thank you to the ITPro TV team, especially Mr. Lowrie for putting together great videos. Watching the series I was able to pass the exam 1st round. Thanks again!
Passed CySA+ Exam
@julian-anderson Congratulations! Clearly, watching the series along with a lot of effort was involved!
Congrats, Julian! I'm glad we could be a part of your success and thanks for the kind words
@julian-anderson I'm going through the CySA+ videos now, can I ask you , How much time did you dedicate to study and what other resources did you use prior to taking the exam? I want to pass the first time as well!)
Congrats @Julian-Anderson , this is an amazing accomplishment! Celebration is in order! Keep up the great work.
Knowledge is a road to be traveled upon, not a destination to be reached~~
I would say it was an accumulation of knowledge over time but I due to a cancelled vacation. I studied for 2 straight weeks everyday. I did 2 things:
- Bought one of the Comptia CySA+ Practice Exam books. It contained 1000 questions on each subject matter and then 2 practice exams. Bit of an over kill but it helped.
- I did buy the $400+ bundle from Comptia. It included the Base Exam fee, additional practice tests questions (which were great as well) and an retake exam. I honestly bought it for the retake just in case because instead of paying an addition $350, I would be saving myself $$.
I would recommend watching the videos and taking notes the best you can. Maybe take the practice exam that ITPro TV provides midway through the videos to see where you stand. Then for sure after the videos to see what you need to work on. That is what I did and that help a lot. Use the Custom Exam option, that is such a great tool. I would recommend the Comptia bundle like I did as a fail safe.
Take breaks. Tell yourself everything is going to be OK, lol.
Most importantly find your motivation and continually remind yourself of why are you after this cert.
Sorry the long read but that is the just of my success on passing.
